Professional Bio
Gail R. Davis is president of Resolutions NY Inc. who acts as a Mediator and Dispute Resolution Consultant and a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. She has over 24 years experience as a litigator, law clerk and mediator and has successfully mediated over 650 cases involving commercial, real estate, landlord tenant, employment and relationship disputes resulting in settlements.
Gail serves as an arbitrator in the Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Arbitration Program and in the New York City Civil Court. She is a member of the panels of the United States District Court - Eastern District New York, the New York County Supreme Court Commercial Division and works with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
As the Coordinator of Dispute Resolution for the New York City Civil Courts for nine years, she developed mediation programs and taught, trained and acted as a mentor to many mediators. Gail is a graduate of Chatham College (BA) and Fordham Law School (JD) where she was a member of Law Review.
Gail lectures on conflict resolution at the International School of Diplomacy of Ignatius and Sophia Universities and she helped organize the 9/11 Small Business Court Assistance Project, a mediation program in NYC Housing Court which promptly responded to the crisis facing lower Manhattan businesses and landlords.
Gail also serves as co-chair of the District & Section Liaison Committee on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and has served as co-chair of the New York City Bar’s Co-op Condo Mediation Project and on its Cooperative and Condominium Committee.
