Chuck Newman Award Past Honorees

ACR-GNY’s Chuck Newman Award (formerly the Frontline Champion Award) recognizes individuals who have made a meaningful impact on the field of mediation or helped others through their commitment to the effective practice of mediation. Chuck Newman Award honorees are named and celebrated at each year's Mediation Settlement Day event.

About the Chuck Newman Award for Impact in the ADR Community

In 2022, we lost a beacon of light in New York's ADR community. Chuck Newman was a former ACR-GNY president and member of the Roundtable Breakfast organizing committee. Chuck spent over a decade supporting the growth of the ADR field. Still, more than that, he was deeply invested in our ADR community: the people who spend their time and emotional resources to explore peaceful resolutions.

In recognition of Chuck and his legacy, ACR-GNY has named an award in his honor. Every year at Mediation Settlement Day, we will now bestow the Chuck Newman Award for Impact in the ADR Community to an individual or organization.
