BRAVER ANGELS is a renowned American grassroots, bipartisan organization committed to the work of political depolarization. In this talk, Braver Angels National Ambassador John Wood, Jr. discusses the organization's philosophy and techniques for building trust across the political divide, from kitchen tables all the way up to the halls of congress. He will also survey the landscape of American political and racial polarization and the history that lies
behind it.
JOHN WOOD, a national ambassador for Braver Angels, is a noted writer and speaker on the subjects of moral philosophy and racial and political reconciliation, whose written work has appeared in outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Real Clear Politics, the Washington Examiner, Reflections (a journal of the Yale School of Divinity) and Quillette Magazine. He is a former nominee for Congress, former Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
