Professional Bio
I read law and studied commerce at the University of NSW in Sydney, Australia, which is where I reside. I graduated in 1979 with a B.Comm & LL.B.
I am a practising barrister of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Courts of NSW, Queensland & the Australian Capital Territory.
I also am a nationally accredited mediator and am on the panel of mediators for the Supreme Court and District Court of NSW. I al also a BarADR certified arbitrator.
I have involved in mediations for almost 30 years and in arbitration’s for in excess of 30 years.
I am a Fellow of each of the ACICA, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand.
I also am a member of Mediators Beyond Borders International. In particular, I am a member of its UN Working Group and its Global Compact Team and a member of its Climate Change Project, with which I have been appointed as a delegate to past UNFCCC COPs in Warsaw and Paris.
I also am a member of the NSW Bar Association & the Australian Bar Association, as well as being an international associate member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. I have served on ADR Committees and assisted with professional education on ADR.
I am a certified Mediation Advocate with the International Mediation Institute and a member of the Association of International Arbitrators.
I also am on the panel of Mediators for ACICA and I am a member of the International Chamber of Commerce, with which I have served on its ADR Taskforce on Arbitration and Climate Change.
I also am a member of the Asia Pacific Mediation Forum.
