Professional Bio
For over 20 years, Sheryl has been serving as a Divorce and ElderCare/Family law Mediator and as a Court Evaluator or Attorney for the AIP, in Article 81 Guardianship proceedings.
Sheryl-Anne's prior ten years of litigation experience, along with her degree in Psychology, enables her to provide her mediation and collaborative clients with, not only an in-depth knowledge of the litigation process, but also enables her to emotionally assist her clients in their times of need.
Sheryl-Anne is one of the few Accredited Mediators with the New York State Counsel of Divorce Mediation and is a founding member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators. She is a winner of the Nassau County Bar Association’s “Lawyer’s Choice Award” of the Faculty Bridge the Gap Weekend and was awarded 2019 Ten top Female Attorneys award and has been selected to the New York Super Lawyer list, (top 5% of attorneys in New York), Lawyers of Distinction and Best Attorney’s Top 10 Family Law Attorney List, (top 0.05% in the USA) and was just selected to the prestigious Super Lawyers List.
Sheryl-Anne Sastow's primary focus is to help clients either avoid the trauma of litigation, or to help resolve a situation that is already in litigation. Sheryl-Anne mediates on-line and in person.
