Professional Bio
Elizabeth Grossman is available for mediations and for settlement administration in all types of discrimination matters. As an attorney admitted in New York State and federal district and appellate courts for over thirty years, Elizabeth worked for the federal government and non-profit organizations, specializing in anti-discrimination law. Elizabeth’s practice has included employment, housing, disability, and other civil rights issues, and she has worked on individual cases and systemic litigation throughout her career. In addition to consulting work, her experience includes: Executive Director/General Counsel, Fair Housing Justice Center; Interim Chief Legal Officer, Southern Poverty Law Center; Legal Director, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House; Regional Attorney, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New York District Office, and Program Director, Disability Rights New York. Elizabeth first trained as a mediator in 1996 at the Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution and now is a Mediator with the New York Peace Institute. She is also an arbitrator in New York State Small Claims Court. Elizabeth has diverse expertise in settlement administration through her work with EEOC and other government agencies.
