Professional Bio
Ms. Emma Jackson serves as the Executive Office Manager and Peace Program Officer at Religions for Peace. Emma oversees the daily operations of the Secretary General’s Office, facilitates communications and strategic engagement with the global leadership body (World Council), 90+ national and regional interreligious councils and other partners, and supports the programmes department in coordinating and managing peacebuilding projects.
Emma has over 7 years of experience working in international NGOs and academic research institutes focused on issues including peace and justice, interfaith engagement, digital peacebuilding, future of work and tech policy and ethics. She has considerable experience developing programmes and planning international multi-religious and multi-stakeholder dialogues, conferences, and events.
In 2023, Emma completed a Master of Global Affairs in International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs and Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, where she specialized in Digital Peacebuilding through her capstone research and a fellowship with Search for Common Ground implementing digital peacebuilding programs for the Global and Sri Lankan offices.
Prior to her graduate studies, Emma worked at Religions for Peace (2017-2021) as the Senior Assistant to the Secretary General and supported the overall functioning of the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General’s Office, with a particular focus on board and constituency relations, and event planning.
Emma also holds a B.A. from McGill University with a double major in Political Science and International Development Studies.
