MyDRHub takes a new and innovative approach to helping people select the most suitable process for resolving their disputes. One of the most exciting and surprising outcomes of real-world trials was that this system was more effective than experienced mediators in identifying which disputes were most likely to resolve via mediation. The development of AI-augmented patented systems, such as MyDRHub, raises important questions about the role of human decision-making, automation and AI for the future of dispute resolution and the way in which practitioners help their clients find the appropriate forum for their fuss.
Danielle Hutchinson is a cross-disciplinary innovator, industry-based researcher and pioneer in neuroinclusive practices. She works worldwide advising dispute resolution bodies such as the Mediator Standards Board (Australia), the Association of Mediators Ukraine, the International Mediation Institute and the Fair Work Commission (Australia), The Attorney-General's Department (Australia) on dispute management, system design and the development of practitioner skills.
Most recently, Danielle led the independent review of Australia's National Mediator Accreditation System (the NMAS Review 2020-22), through which she designed the world's first empirically derived professional practice standards for mediators.
Danielle has held academic posts at leading universities and is currently involved in teaching or research at UNSW, La Trobe and RMIT. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she spent almost a decade at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne. She has authored numerous book chapters and papers in the fields of education and dispute resolution. In October 2023, Danielle was granted a full US Patent (25 years) for her 'SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELECTING A DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESS'. This system, aka MyDRHub, is AI-augmented and designed to assist courts and other dispute resolution services to identify the most suitable dispute resolution process for a given dispute.
